Signatures and game-worn claims rest on trust in a certificate. Bonding the record to the item replaces that trust with proof that survives every resale.

Memorabilia is valuable because of where it has been. A signature, a match, an owner: the object itself is often ordinary, and the history is the entire asset. Which is why the category rests almost completely on certificates, and why those certificates are forged so often.

This is where Rethentic is strongest. The chain of provenance is unfalsifiable, because each custody event is signed and written against the item rather than onto a document that travels beside it.

If someone notable has owned a tagged piece, every future buyer can see that connection in plain sight, and can see it without trusting the seller, the paperwork or the auction listing. Once collectors have seen proof that works this way, they will expect it on everything they buy.
