Accessibility statement

Last updated October 10, 2026

Rethentic is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We believe that access to tools that establish authenticity, provenance, and trust in physical objects should be available to everyone, and we work to improve the accessibility and usability of both our website and our app.

Our Commitment

This statement covers the website at rethentic.co and the Rethentic mobile application for iOS and Android. Both are designed to be usable by a broad audience, regardless of ability or assistive technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the level referenced by the ADA, Section 508 and EN 301 549. We have not completed a formal third-party audit against it, and we will say so here when we do.

Accessible Features

The website and the app include features intended to support accessibility, such as:

  • Compatibility with common screen readers and assistive technologies
  • Clear, readable text with sufficient contrast
  • Logical navigation and consistent interface patterns
  • Support for device-level accessibility settings where available

We want the core tasks to be usable by everyone: registering a product, tapping a device to confirm it is genuine, reading an object’s ownership history, and passing ownership to someone else.

Information You Provide

Some features let you add optional profile details such as a name, a short biography and a location, and let you upload photographs. These are designed to be reachable and usable with assistive technologies.

What we do with that information is set out in our privacy policy rather than here.

Known Limitations

Confirming that an object is genuine means holding a device against it and keeping it still while it is read. That depends on physical positioning and we have not found a way to remove the requirement. If it makes the app hard for you to use, contact us and we will help you through it.

This statement reflects our own testing. Until we complete an independent audit, treat it as a description of our intent and our current understanding rather than a certification.

Ongoing Improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We review our website, our app and our development practices to identify and address accessibility barriers and to improve the experience for all users.

Feedback and Assistance

If you experience difficulty accessing any part of Rethentic, or if you have suggestions for improving accessibility, we encourage you to contact us at legal@rethentic.co. Tell us the page or screen, the assistive technology you were using, and what happened. We aim to respond within five business days.
